Sure, Up looks like it will be another great movie from Disney and Pixar, and the buzz about Toy Story 3 is exciting, but it’s refreshing to see different companies coming out with unique ideas every once in a while.

9 is an animated film about the end of humanity. The machines are taking over, destroying civilization. Sound familiar? Probably. This movie, to me, is like a mix between LittleBigPlanet and Terminator. Sackboy is…John Connor.

Do yourself a favor and watch this trailer, it’s well worth the time. Not only can you get a taste of what looks like a great movie, but you get to listen to a great choice of a song, “Welcome Home”, by the band Coheed and Cambria.

9 is set for release in theaters on September 9th, 2009!
