The first downloadable add-on for Left 4 Dead 2 was originally scheduled to be released at the end of March, but obviously, since it’s April now, that didn’t happen. Good news; The Passing DLC is now confirmed for a late April release! According to the official Left 4 Dead blog, The Passing DLC will be coming out next week!

The Passing will take place between the Dead Center and Dark Carnival campaigns, in a small Georgia town. The most exiting feature of the new DLC is easily the meet up with the cast from the original Left 4 Dead. That’s right; while playing the new DLC, we’ll cross paths with Zoey, Bill, Louis and Francis! There will also be new weapons, a new class of infected, and new game modes. What could the new game modes be? 8 Player Co-Op, perhaps?

Update: The Official Left 4 Dead Blog has posted another entry, confirming the release of The Passing on April 22nd. The add-on will cost 560 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360, and will be free on the PC.

After admiring these pictures, all I can think of now, are all the times I’ve played Expert Mode, Left 4 Dead online with teammates who intentionally shoot the damn car with the damn alarm! Check out more LEGO 4 Dead below…

Valve might shut it down. Then again, Valve is a pretty user friendly company, and may just let it live. Maybe…or maybe it’ll go the road of that fan-made Legend of Zelda movie that was killed by Nintendo.
