Star Wars: The Old Republic is hoping to take a chunk out of the MMO market, and take on the giant World of Warcraft. Watch and enjoy the cinematic trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic! This is the upcoming MMO from Bioware and Lucas Arts. Bioware, the company that brought us amazing Star Wars games in the last with Knights of the Old Republic, and Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords!

I know there is no actual gameplay footage in this video, but I couldn’t care less. This is enough for me…for now at least. Like many other things at E3, there are not many details available yet or a release date, but you can be sure to see them here, once they’re available. What we do know so far is that the story takes place before all 6 movies; around 3,500 years before then to be more precise.

Sit back, watch the trailer, and wait. I know I’ll be waiting. There’s nothing I’d like more than to play an MMO with millions of other people, in the Star Wars universe.
