Just a quick look at the game for anybody who’s wondering. It looks like a fun game, but not for $50. Maybe $19.99 or $29.99 since it’s “on rails”.
Skip to 5 minutes in for the goods.
They’re calling the game “Dead Space: Extraction”. Sure, the graphics won’t be as amazing as Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, but I’m glad to see the Wii getting more and more games that aren’t shovelware; like balloon popping and dart throwing games. Look for Dead Space on Wii towards the end of the year.
Sure, this clip isn’t as exciting as the opening cinematic, or some of the trailers we’ve seen, but still, it’s worth a look. If you’re like me, and grateful for every morsel of Left 4 Dead goodness you get to witness, you’ll be satisfied. The game comes out next week, get ready.
Of course I’m skeptical that this game is going to be better than Call of Duty 4. Who wouldn’t be? CoD4 was and still is an amazing game. I have to admit though, this trailer is wicked hardcore (Boston accent). The multiplayer BETA is available on Xbox Live right now. I have decided that I’m not going to download it though. It might tempt me to buy the game on launch day, which I don’t want to do. There are too many games coming out this month, and in the last couple weeks, and I’ve spent too much money already.
Not much to say here. If you haven’t been looking forward to Gears of War 2, or never played the first, you’re really missing out on some of the best multiplayer gaming of all time. I feel sorry for the PS3 and Wii owners who don’t get to experience this “epic” game. But, at least those PS3 owners out there get LittleBigPlanet, and those Wii owners get…ummm…well the Wii owners got all the good Mario, Zelda, and Nintendo franchises a long time ago. My Wii is sitting there, looking sad, as I pamper my 360 with new games like Fable 2.
