Before you continue, I mean no offense to controller creationists. You may continue believing all controllers were made by the intelligent design of the almighty cloud dweller. Not even the Power Glove or original Xbox “fat” controller should shake your faith…
I love the NES controller, I enjoy the Wiimote/Nunchuk combo, and I hold my Xbox 360 controller even when my 360 is turned off. That being said, I think my favorite controller of all time has to be the Nintendo Gamecube controller.
Sure, Gamecube wasn’t the best console ever, but it was decent, still is, and the controller is amazing. Aside from the fact that it works with the Wii, the design and feel of it are perfect. The handles, the big shoulder buttons, the yellow nub, the smooth joystick, the huge “A” button, and even the unnecessary, but reliable D-Pad. Hate on Gamecube all you want; just leave the controller out of it.
