Dragonball Evolution MovieI’ve voiced my opinion about this movie many, many times in previous posts, but I’ve lightened up a bit, and I’m actually looking forward to seeing it…a little. I’m more looking forward to it, just because I loved Dragonball and Dragonball Z growing up, and I’ve missed it ever since it ended.

I know this movie is not a 100% true to source adaptation, but Justin says in the interview, “This isn’t Dragonball. It’s Dragonball Evolution.” That’s actually a pretty good argument for all the criticism from the fans. I don’t have high expectations of this movie, but I’m seeing it nonetheless.

Dragonball Evolution hits theaters on April 10th. Watch the cast interviews below…

Dragonball EvolutionDragonball Evolution is the live action movie, based on the popular Japanese manga, and the anime beloved by millions. I grew up watching the Dragonball series, and I’d hate to see a move ruin the story. Looks like I’m hating.

So, for some odd reason, 20th Century Fox has pushed back the release of Dragonball Evolution. They’ve pushed it back a total of 2 whole days! Now, instead of opening on a Wednesday, the movie is opening on that Friday. The bad news? Now Dragonball has to compete with Seth Rogen’s Observe and Report, and the monster release; Hannah Montanna: The Movie!

Dragonball Evolution now opens on April 10th.

Here are 5 new TV spots introducing the characters of Dragonball Evolution. Oh my…The voice over guy in all of these videos makes the movie sound like it’s made for Nickelodeon.

I don’t even want to go into how much Fox has ruined this movie by not sticking to the source material, removing key characters, and making it look just straight up lame. Having said that, I’m still definitely going to see it, but only because I grew up watching Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT for years. If you’d like to get an idea of what the movie will be like, check out these 6 clips.

If you’re a fan of Dragonball, Dragonball Z, or Dragonball GT, like me, you’ll probably see this movie, no matter how bad it might look. Sure the photos look bad, and the hype is close to nothing, but maybe, just maybe, the movie will turn out alright, and we’ll get a sequel, with some Super Saiyans. Dragonball blasts into theaters on April 10th, 2009. Continue reading to see two more photos.
