So apparently, Stephen Colbert is on Twitter. He doesn’t just tweet, he twats. I love when Meredith says, “Me too.”

Watch as Alec Baldwin plays with his Wii on Saturday Night Live. The whole Wiimote/penis joke is old now, but SNL still makes it funny.

Battlefield 1943 is being released on the Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and on PC as a downloadable game.

I really wish they’d make this a full game though. I was addicted to Battlefield 1942 for years, and the online play is still thriving, even though it’s been out since 2002. So this video shows the basic gameplay; you spawn, you kill, you die, you respawn, kill some more, and repeat. The game is pretty much just a graphical upgrade for Battlefield 1942, along with some new gameplay features like melee, destructible buildings, and unlimited ammo.

Expect to download this beauty sometime this Summer.

EA is taking the Battlefield franchise back to WWII. This is awesome news. I played Battlefield 1942 religiously for years, and I still play it occasionally when I’m bored. It’s not hard to find a full server either. The trailer shows Wake Island, a map from BF1942, and it looks so much better now.

Battlefield 1943 is only a downloadable game, and will be release on Xbox Live, PSN, and on PC. I really think they should make this into a full game; I would buy it. Why not? Thousands of people are still playing BF1942 online, right now, as I type this. You can play with 24 people at once, fighting all over Wake Island, trying to gain control of it. It sounds like fun, but on PC, if I can remember right, the player cap for BF1942 was 64 players.

hwdemo

It’s here! The Halo Wars demo is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo is 1.4GB in size.

This should give  a lot of Xbox 360 owners a first look into the world of RTS games. I’ve never played an RTS on a console. I’ve played most of the Total War games, and dabbled into Starcraft briefly, but those were obviously on PC.

I haven’t played the demo yet, I’m sitting at about 15% downloaded. Once I finish the download, and play for a bit, I’ll post my thoughts.

This is the video we’ll see when we update our Xbox 360s with the “New Xbox Experience”. The NXE is a graphical dashboard update, as well as new features like Netflix streaming, photo sharing with friends, customizable avatars, and a few other things. The update will be available on November 19th, this Wednesday.
