left 4 dead – Geekstir

A fast-paced, squad-based Resident Evil game? Left 4 Dead in Raccoon City? We’ll find out soon. This is the very first teaser trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

From the looks of it, we’re going back to 1998 when Leon first shows up in Raccoon City, so the game will take place during the same time Resident Evil 2 did, and possibly Resident Evil 3. The catch is, we’ll be playing as an Umbrella Corporation clean-up team, and who knows, we might even get to stop Leon from ever getting to Resident Evil 4.

The first downloadable add-on for Left 4 Dead 2 was originally scheduled to be released at the end of March, but obviously, since it’s April now, that didn’t happen. Good news; The Passing DLC is now confirmed for a late April release! According to the official Left 4 Dead blog, The Passing DLC will be coming out next week!

The Passing will take place between the Dead Center and Dark Carnival campaigns, in a small Georgia town. The most exiting feature of the new DLC is easily the meet up with the cast from the original Left 4 Dead. That’s right; while playing the new DLC, we’ll cross paths with Zoey, Bill, Louis and Francis! There will also be new weapons, a new class of infected, and new game modes. What could the new game modes be? 8 Player Co-Op, perhaps?

Update: The Official Left 4 Dead Blog has posted another entry, confirming the release of The Passing on April 22nd. The add-on will cost 560 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360, and will be free on the PC.
