Here is the new trailer for EA’s Battlefield 1943. If you’re like me, and played Battlefield 1942, and still do, you’re definitely looking forward to this. It’s basically Battlefield 1942 with updated graphics, some new gameplay techniques, and an awesome looking rehash of a great game.

In BF1943, you can play on some of the classic maps from BF1942 like Iwo Jima and Wake Island. The game supports up to 24 players online, and is hitting the PSN and XBLA this June, for $15. PC gamers can get it sometime in September.

This is a definite buy for me. Battlefield 1942 holds a spot close to my heart, and I’m sure 1943 will be even better.

In the latest from the Angry Video Game Nerd, James reviews The Odyssey. It’s pretty much a board game with little plastic sheets that stick to your tv screen. I wonder how you make those work on widescreen flat panels…I guess the makers didn’t care about future gamers. I guess you can call original Odyssey buyers “gamers”.

This is the first trailer for Assassin’s Creed 2. Wow. Amazing. Hopefully we’ll actually get to see some gameplay footage, or at least some cut scene footage soon. There is no set release date or specific details yet, but the game is expected in the fourth quarter of this year. A surprise is that the game will be released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the Nintendo Wii. I’m curious to see how the game turns out on the Wii obviously.

Street Fighter Ultimate Combo T-ShirtThis is probably my favorite gaming tee to hit the web…at least in the past week. It seems there’s always a great new shirt that I want.

This shirt goes from kick ass with shoryukens and hadoukens, to class, with some fancy piano playing in the candlelight.

This “Ultimate Combo” shirt was designed by Threadless seller and artist, David Soames. You can buy this t-shirt for $18; and it comes in “sand” and “navy blue”.

Prototype for the PS3 and Xbox 360Do you want some more Prototype gameplay footage? Of course you do. You want it. I know you want it.

This is new footage, but still in the same small demo area we’ve seen before. That doesn’t mean it isn’t awesome though. Alex Mercer can pretty much do anything. Shape shifting, consuming other people and taking their identity and memories, flying, and performing apocalyptic devastators. We actually see one of the devastators at the end of the video.

Prototype hits shelves for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 9th in the US and on June 12th in Europe! Check out the new footage below, and be sure to watch for a random dude getting sliced in half at :50 seconds in.

BioShock 2 Set 10 years after the events of BioShock, BioShock 2 takes you back to Rapture. You play as the first Big Daddy ever created, and of course, use your drill, rivet gun, and plasmids as weapons. You’ll be hunting down Little Sisters, and once again you’ll be deciding their fate. If you choose to save them, you’ll be adopting them, and they’ll ride along with you. Now that’s awesome.

There hasn’t been a whole lot of news yet on BioShock 2, but it is currently set to be released sometime towards the end of 2009. The game is being released for both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 simultaneously.

Check out the first ever gameplay footage below!

Yeah, I’ve said how awesome this game looks many times in my previous posts. No need for me to say it again; but I will.

Prototype lets you play as Alex Mercer, an uber super human, with powers beyond belief. He can shape-shift, fly, consume people, perform devastating…devastators, elbow drop tanks. Yep, elbow drop tanks; from hundreds of feet in the air. Alex is pretty much the most powerful video game character ever.

Prototype hits shelves for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 9th in the United States. June 12th in Europe.

The Angry Video Game Nerd Metal GearIn the latest review, The Angry Video Game Nerd takes on the NES classic, Metal Gear.

I actually own the NES version of Metal Gear. Only because I found it at a thrift store for $2. I’ve never really played any of the Metal Gear games other than Metal Gear Solid on the PS1. Well, the Angry Video Game Nerd doesn’t let this classic franchise get away with anything. He doesn’t care if Metal Gear is one of the most popular gaming series ever, he does his job, and reviews it, angrily.

Watch the new AVGN video below…

Hooray! More Prototype! Here is a little video telling us more about Alex Mercer, the main character, and giving us some info on the “web of intrigue”. There’s quite a bit of new gameplay footage as well, which is always good.

The gameplay in Prototype is centered around Alex Mercer’s superhuman abilities. Alex has superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability and healing as well as the abilities of consuming his fallen enemies, shapeshifting his body and easily moving in this ‘New’ New York City environment. Radical claims that there will be 750 “unique combinations” of powers. – Wikipedia

Yep, that does sound pretty powerful. As the guy in the video says, Alex is one of the most powerful video game characters ever.

Prototype hits shelves, for the Xbox 360 and PS3, on June 9th!
