Here are two brand new gameplay videos for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles! This game is a follow up to Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and is also an “on rails”, arcade style shooter. You don’t control the characters movement, you just shoot, reload, pickup items, and use your knife. Perfect for the Wii and the Wiimote. Darkside Chronicles takes you through the stories of Resident Evil 2, probably the best Resident Evil game ever, and Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Check out another video below!

This is the trailer for Splinter Cell Conviction that premiered yesterday at E3 2009 during the Xbox 360 Press Conference.

I have to say, this trailer and gameplay video actually makes me want to get back into the series. I loved the first two Splinter Cell games, but after that, I got a little bored. I’ve always enjoyed a game that makes you use a little wit, patience, and skill. This time Sam Fisher is out for revenge, and I’d like to help him out by picking up the controller and bashing some heads.

This is new footage, but still in the same small demo area we’ve seen before. That doesn’t mean it isn’t awesome though. Alex Mercer can pretty much do anything. Shape shifting, consuming other people and taking their identity and memories, flying, and performing apocalyptic devastators. We actually see one of the devastators at the end of the video.

Prototype hits shelves for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 9th in the US and on June 12th in Europe! Check out the new footage below, and be sure to watch for a random dude getting sliced in half at :50 seconds in.

There hasn’t been a whole lot of news yet on BioShock 2, but it is currently set to be released sometime towards the end of 2009. The game is being released for both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 simultaneously.

We’ve seen a few trailers for Batman: Arkham Asylum, but now we finally have some gameplay footage, from GDC09! I’ve played most of the Splinter Cell games, and this sort of looks like Batman playing Sam Fisher. That’s not a bad thing. This is the way a Batman game should be; hiding in the shadows, beating baddies down, using gadgets like James Bond. Check out the video, and check out the game when it hits stores in June.

Here are three new gameplay videos of Madworld for the Nintendo Wii. This game is riding a lot of hype right now, and it’ll probably be a hit. It’s rare to see so much gore, or blood at all on the Wii. Yes, you do hear the voice of John DiMaggio; the man who plays the voices of Bender in Futurama, and Marcus Phoenix in Gears of War 1 & 2.

Just a quick look at the game for anybody who’s wondering. It looks like a fun game, but not for $50. Maybe $19.99 or $29.99 since it’s “on rails”.

This has to be one of the best video game trailers I’ve ever seen. If you’re into the Resident Evil series, you’ll love this trailer. All the history with Chris, Wesker, and at the end of the trailer, I’m guessing the hidden face is that of Claire, Chris’s sister.

Who knows, it might even be Jill Valentine; we haven’t seen her since Resident Evil 3. It could be her because in a trailer for Resident Evil 5 last year, there was a single frame, and it showed Jill’s tombstone. Why bother showing her tombstone if she has nothing to do with the game? Also because Chris and Jill were the two main characters in Resident Evil 1.

Resident Evil 5 is hitting shelves on March 13th, for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Continue reading this post to see some new gameplay footage.

I like the House of the Dead games; they’re always fun. I can’t see myself spending $50 for an “on rails” game though. If I want to play a game like this, I’ll go to an arcade; if I can find one; or just pop in House of the Dead on my Sega Dreamcast. House of the Dead: Overkill is on shelves now; only on Wii. Good thing it’s on the Wii, since that’s the only current generation console with any sort of zapper; even though the Wii Zapper is just a plastic case for the Wiimote to sit in. Watch the trailer above and see some actual gameplay footage after the break.

Don’t be upset if you’re a 360 owner, there’s a game called Prototype coming out, and I think it looks much better than Infamous. Check that out here.

The game definitely looks promising, and like it might at least be decent. There are a couple things I see that I don’t like already though. First, it looks like the acrobatics might be a little over the top. Watch Lara as she cartwheels, flips, and jumps, just to walk up some steps. Also, it looks like the aiming is auto, which I hate. Why would anybody ever want to have auto aim? It takes all the fun out of shooting heads and groins, and makes the game too easy. Continue reading to watch two more gameplay videos.

You can download the demo on Xbox Live or on Steam right now. When I played, I purposely set off the car alarm. Who didn’t? You can’t play the demo and not get the urge to attract hundreds of zombies to your location. Game comes out next week!
