Star Trek SequelBefore Star Trek evens hits theaters, the sequel is already confirmed. Why not? It’s Star Trek! Obviously the first is going to be a success.

J.J. Abrams, who directed and produced Star Trek, is already on board to produce the sequel, but is not yet confirmed to be the director. The script is still being worked on, and will possibly be finished by this coming Christmas, giving the sequel a release for the Summer of 2011. No word on casting. I assume the actors would return; let’s hope.

Star Trek hits theaters on May 8th! Let’s see if it does as well as Paramount hopes.

Bruno Restricted Movie TrailerHere is a new trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s new movie, Bruno. If you’re not sure who Sacha Baron Cohen is; he was Borat.

I don’t think this movie will be as popular as Borat, but the trailer does look pretty decent. Everybody likes watching people get messed with and made a fool of.

Bruno is hitting theaters on July 10th. There have been rumors that the movie might get slapped with an NC-17 rating. We’ll have to wait and see.

Angels & Demons MovieAngels & Demons is the follow up to the smash hit movie and book, The Da Vinci Code. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Robert Langdon, a religious historian, scholar, and expert. A secret society, the Illuminati, is out to destroy Vatican City using the “God Particle”, antimatter, and Robert Langdon has to uncover ancient secrets and paths to stop it.

In my opinion, this is the best of Dan Brown’s novels, and I’m guessing the movie will be just as good; even better than The Da Vinci Code. Angels & Demons hits theaters on May 15th!

Crank 2: High Voltage Jason Statham returns as Chev Chelios, an ex-assassin who’s had his heart stolen and replaced with a batter-powered machine that needs electricity to keep him alive.

If this movie is anything like the first, we can expect over-the-top action at it’s finest. Crank 2: High Voltage hits theaters on April 17th.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood PrinceCheck out 6 new character posters from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Half Blood Prince is one of the best books in the series, and I’m hoping the movie lives up to it. If you have never read any of the books, I suggest you go power read the series before this movie comes out. The only downside to reading the book, is the movie will never live up to expectations. I’m not saying the movie(s) will be, or were bad, they’re just not as good as the books.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince hits theaters on July 17th! Be there to witness all the costumed fans line up for tickets. Check out the 6 new posters below…

Dragonball EvolutionDragonball Evolution is the live action movie, based on the popular Japanese manga, and the anime beloved by millions. I grew up watching the Dragonball series, and I’d hate to see a move ruin the story. Looks like I’m hating.

So, for some odd reason, 20th Century Fox has pushed back the release of Dragonball Evolution. They’ve pushed it back a total of 2 whole days! Now, instead of opening on a Wednesday, the movie is opening on that Friday. The bad news? Now Dragonball has to compete with Seth Rogen’s Observe and Report, and the monster release; Hannah Montanna: The Movie!

Dragonball Evolution now opens on April 10th.

Kirk, Zachary Quinto from Heroes(Sylar), as Spock, Simon Pegg as Scotty, John Cho as Sulu, and Eric Bana as Nero. I’m looking forward to seeing this, and I’m guessing it’ll be one of the biggest movies on the year. Hopefully it won’t be overshadowed by the surrounding releases.
