Surrogates stars Bruce Willis as an FBI agent of all things, and he’s investigating a murder. That’s the basic story, but I’m not really interested in that. What I’m interested in, are the surrogates.

A surrogate is a robot. Sounds cool, but there’s more. The robot is a perfect copy of yourself, and you can live vicariously through them. You wake up in the morning, lay down in the super, high tech control lounge, and you go online. Your surrogate comes to life, you stay in your home, and the surrogate goes out and acts for you.

Everything sounds great. You stay safely in the house, letting your surrogate go out in the dangerous world. You control what they do, you experience everything that your surrogate does, you see what they see, you live what they do. Yeah, it all sounds great…until a murder occurs. A surrogate is murdered! The human controlling that surrogate dies as well! How is that possible? I guess we’ll have to see the movie to find out. It’s like The Matrix and I Robot all at the same time! I’m in!
