Paramount has released 7 brand new photos from Star Trek to hold us over until May 15th!
If you’re not looking forward to seeing this movie, you’re probably the kind of person looking forward to the next High School Musical; or something else equally lame. Star Trek is a complete reboot of the franchise, and brings the classic to a whole new generation of eager sci-fi and movie geeks. This movie has generated so much buzz, the sequel has already been confirmed before the first hits theaters.

So, if you’re like me, and you cannot stand the wait for this movie, I have some good news. Paramount has released 2 3 movie clips from Star Trek, free for your viewing pleasure! Star Trek stars Chris Pine as James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Simon Pegg as Scotty, John Cho as Sulu, Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy, and Eric Bana as the villain Nero.
A few lucky people in Texas were the first to see Star Trek. They were surprised by Leonard Nimoy, the original Spock, at a viewing of the classic Wrath of Kahn; and the reviews have all been good.

Paramount has released 3 new photos from the movie. They have also announced that the movie has been given a PG-13 Rating.
The three new images are of Zachary Quinto as Spock, Chris Pine as James Kirk, and Eric Bana as the villain Nero. Star Trek hits theaters next month, and a sequel has already been confirmed. There’s so much buzz for this movie, they don’t even need to wait for the box office numbers to announce the sequel.

Before Star Trek evens hits theaters, the sequel is already confirmed. Why not? It’s Star Trek! Obviously the first is going to be a success.
J.J. Abrams, who directed and produced Star Trek, is already on board to produce the sequel, but is not yet confirmed to be the director. The script is still being worked on, and will possibly be finished by this coming Christmas, giving the sequel a release for the Summer of 2011. No word on casting. I assume the actors would return; let’s hope.
Star Trek hits theaters on May 8th! Let’s see if it does as well as Paramount hopes.
