How Big Were Dinosaurs

This chart is pretty mind boggling. I cannot even imagine what life would be like today with such giant animals still living. I guess it’s a good thing they’re extinct. We’d probably still be living in caves and throwing poop.

I’m guessing the person who discovered the Supersaurus Vivianae breed was a comic book fan. The other paleontologists and scientists probably laughed at his name for it. At least it’s a better name than Erectopus. Yes, there’s a real dinosaur called Erectopus. Thank you Wikipedia.

Will Ferrell stars as has-been scientist Dr. Rick Marshall, sucked into one and spat back through time. Way back. I’m not embarrassed to admit that I like the Ice Age movies. This is the first trailer for the third in the franchise. I really hope that poor squirrel Scrat gets his acorn in this movie, and maybe he’ll fall in love with that lady squirrel too. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is currently set for a July 1st, 2009 release.
