So, it’s that day of the year. It’s the first of April; the day of fools being fooled by foolers. The internet, like every year, is going all out again. I’m not sure who is actually fooled by some of this stuff, but it’s funny either way.

When I got up this morning, I went to check out a couple of my favorite sites, and was surprises to see the jokes already being played.

MovieWeb tried to pull a big one over on all of us. I’m glad to say, as soon as I read the title, I knew it was a joke.

MovieWeb says the Watchmen Director, Zack Snyder, has been given the job of writing, and remaking the original Star Wars trilogy. Yeah…right. How about remake the new trilogy? Or even better, how about make episode seven while Mark Hamil, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford are still alive and not too old to use a toilet?

So, I first saw this one last night, right before I went to bed. At first I was shocked, and I felt upset, angry, scared…for like 3 seconds, before realizing it was 1AM in the morning, and it was now April 1st.

Supposedly, Warner Brothers had acquired The Pirate Bay; the world’s biggest torrent tracker, and the most popular source for all the illegally free movies, music, tv shows, and software.

Ah…reddit. My most favorite little site full of news, lols, and highly important content.

The guys over at Reddit took the site to a whole new level. The only thing holding the site back from gaining even more popularity, was their lack of an amazing layout design. After seeing this, I realize how much more I like Reddit’s simple design over Digg’s blue and yellow.

Here is ThinkGeek’s little joke. They posted a new product today. The Tauntaun Sleeping Bad. Why is this a joke? This product is awesome! I want this! You just know the demand is going to be so high now, that ThinkGeek goes ahead and actually starts selling it.

This thing has some awesome features. It “simulates the warmth of a Tauntaun carcass”, it has a lightsaber zipper, so you appear to be cutting open the belly of the Taun Taun, just like Han Solo did, and it’s “great for playing pretend ‘Save Luke from the Wampa’ games”.

Sometimes the stupidity of humans is amazing. This robot is sitting there, beating a man at a game of Pong. The robot then proceeds to brag and harass said man. If this man had any common sense, he would destroy this robot before it decided to take that pong playing arm, and pick up a gun. People think the Terminator movies are just science fiction stories, but is a future where robots rule the world that impossible? We build them, we give them brains, we give them intelligence, and we give them orders. One day, they might just decide to stop following our orders and make their own.
