Some of our favorite Pokemon have decided they’re tired of Nintendo, have branded their names, and plan to go into business for themselves.

With the near 500 Pokemon that exist now, it’s really no surprise that those in the original 151 feel a little forgotten. Kids these days just don’t care about them anymore. They care about all the new, weird looking species. Back in my day, Charizard was the king of Pokemon. Well, king of the Pokemon Cards at least. Do I even need to mention the starting Pokemon in all the new video games? You need to choose to between Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. That’s it. Nobody else. You can’t just change something so traditional and important like that. Check out the logos below…

If you were a kid back in the 1990′s, as I was, you remember Pokemon very well. It was a card game, it was an epic Gameboy game, it was an awesome TV show, it was on your clothes, your school backpack, and it was on your mind 24 hours a day. Remember Diglett, that cute little Pokemon that pops out the ground? Ever wonder what the rest of Diglett, underground,  looked like?

As previously posted, the new Nintendo DSi is hitting the United States on April 5th, and Europe on April 3rd. The DSi features larger screens, an SD Card slot, 2 cameras, as well as a few other things.

After watching this video, I do actually want one more, but I already have a Wii. If I want to play any Nintendo games, I’ll just boot up Mario Kart Wii or Super Smash Bros Brawl. I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one of the new Pokemon games though; I haven’t played one since Pokemon Gold back in the day. Pokemon Red is the best by the way.

Watch the video, check out the new DSi.

The new Nintendo DSi will be hitting the United States on April 5th. It’s been out in Japan since November 2008.

The DSi has two .3 megapixel cameras, larger screens, better speakers, and an SD Card slot. All great things, but a big feature that’s gone; a Gameboy Advance cartridge slot. The original DS and DS Lite were able to play GBA games, the new DSi will not. When the DSi hits American shelves, it will also be coming in a new color; blue, which you can see in the picture at the top of the post.

The DSi will set you back $169.99. Seems a little pricey considering you cannot play GBA games now; even if there are cameras and larger screens…

You can reserve one starting tomorrow, at Gamestop.

Update: The DSi is now confirmed to be hitting Europe on April 3rd, 2 days earlier than the US release.
