
Steam for Mac just got a little greater. Half-Life 2 is now available! If by some unimaginable chance you do not own, or have never owned a PC, Xbox 360, PS3, or even an old Xbox, you can now become the crowbar wielding Gordon Freeman on your Mac. Apple sold 350,000 iPads on the day of release and 450,000 iPads within the first week. The iPad officially hit one million sales, Apple announced yesterday; and it only took 28 days.
If it seems like 28 days is a long time to sell just a million iPads, you may be surprised to know it took the original iPhone a whopping 74 days to sell a million units. So there you have it; the iPad is more successful than the iPhone. Well, maybe it’s a little too soon to say that. Sure, the iPad had a better first month, but to date, the iPhone has sold over 50 million units worldwide. That includes the original iPhone, the 3G, and the 3GS.
We’ll see if the iPad can keep pace in a couple months when the next iPhone hits. It’s also good to note the iPad 3G just started selling, after the first month of the Wifi only version. Not to mention the delayed international launch of both versions of the iPad.
