Futurama Renewed by Comedy Central
Good News Everyone! Or as Hermes might say, “Sweet gorilla of Manila!”

Futurama has been picked up and revived by Comedy Central for 26 new episodes! A rumor has been circulating the internet that Comedy Central was seeking to pickup Futurama for 13 episodes, but the news is even sweeter now that it’s 26.

Futurama originally aired on Fox for 4 seasons, until it was canceled back in 2003. Since then, for the past 6 years, fans of the show have been showing anger over the unjust cancellation. After all the years, Fox picked Futurama back up for 4 straight to DVD movies, which turned out to be huge successes.

As a die hard fan of Futurama, this news is nearly bringing a tear to my eye. Futurama is easily, in my opinion, the best computer animated TV show. If I happen to watch an episode of Family Guy or The Simpsons, I always wish it was Futurama.

20th Century Fox TV Chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden:

When we brought back Family Guy several years ago, everyone said that it was a once in a lifetime thing — that canceled series stay canceled and cannot be revived. But Futurama was another series that fans simply demanded we bring back, and we couldn’t have been happier when Matt (Matt Groening) and David (David X. Cohen) agreed that there were many more stories yet to tell.

We can expect the new Futurama episodes to begin airing sometime in mid-2010!

X-Men Origins: WolverineSurprise? Probably not. Even with an unfinished version of the movie leaked to the internet last month, Wolverine still dominated the weekend’s box office numbers, and clearly wasn’t affected by piracy. People love mutants, people love X-Men, people love Hugh Jackman; it’s not hard to see why people went to see this movie.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine topped the charts this weekend with $87 million! I think we can say the movie is a success. Obviously the movie is still going to make much, much more money before leaving theaters. I think this gives a good sign to 20th Century Fox to hurry up and get X-Men Origins: Magneto into theaters.

Though Wolverine had a great opening weekend, with all the other big movies coming out this Summer, I doubt that’s going to be the highest opening weekend number we see.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Meet the Mutants20th Century Fox has released some new character profiles introducing us to a few of the mutants in the Wolverine movie.

This movie chronicles Wolverine’s life, as a kid, as an adult, and as a mutant who doesn’t age and has the ability to heal. Not to mention he has some bad ass claws.

We see him live through World Wars, we see him survive generations, we see him get his shiny adamantium claws, and we see the life in which he has forgotten about in the X-Men movies.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine20th Century Fox has blessed us all with yet another poster for Wolverine.

This has got to be the 6th or 7th one I’ve seen. I would have rather seen Gambit or Sabertooth on the promo poster, as we’ve all see Hugh Jackman’s face enough with all the publicity he’s been doing.

This poster not enough to satisfy your Wolverine hunger? Check out a brand new extended clip from the movie, some new character profiles and eight new photos.

WolverineX-Men Origins: Wolverine takes us back in time, and tells us the story of Logan, before he was Wolverine, and up to the point we find him at in the X-Men movies.

Hugh Jackman is back as the healing mutant with adamantium claws, but this time he’s joined by Gambit, The Blob, Cyclops, Deadpool, and other characters from the world of X-Men. I’m mostly glad to see Gambit because I grew up in the 90’s with the X-Men animated cartoon, and he was awesome.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock this past week, you haven’t heard the big Wolverine news. Well, the movie was leaked, and put on online.

The leaked version of the movie has been downloaded millions of times already. But here’s the thing; the leak is a “workprint”. Meaning the copy has no special effects. So instead of seeing all the action and visuals, you see green screens and wires attached to the actors. I assume Wolverine doesn’t even have claws in this workprint leak.

This video gives you an idea of what watching that might be like.

Go see X-Men Origins: Wolverine in theaters on May 1st!
