R2-D2 Makes a Cameo in the New Star Trek Movie – Geekstir

R2-D2 in Star Trek Cameo

I’m not sure if this is awesome, or a total lack of respect for the divide of the Trek and the Wars. This is real though. The Star Trek DVD came out yesterday, so I put it in to check and make sure this wasn’t photoshopped. It took me a while to find the exact scene, but when I saw it, needless to say, some bricks were excreted. The R2-D2 cameo happens around the 47:39 mark, but it goes so fast, so unless you have a slow motion button, you might miss it.

There was a contest a while back when the movie first came out. They gave out some props for finding R2-D2 yeah i spent a while yesterday looking for him too. i bought it on bluray and got the one where U.S.S. Enterprise is the case pretty cool sorta like a cheap plastic model but cool none the less…i dont know if the dvd had the deleted klingon scenes but they were pretty sweet.

As both a fan of Star Trek and Star Wars, I am overwhelmingly appalled by this. Like… 2 girls, one cup appalled, not octomom appalled. Sick and wrong.

So R2-D2 dies in Star Trek. He's blasting away from a destroyed ship, so either he'll be floating away in space for eternity, or he's destroyed by slamming into wreckage.
