Welcome to the Lolocaust – Geekstir

lolacaust

I’m not sure if I should think this is funny, or if I should feel anger towards this guy. He’s taken a horrible symbol and made it full of “lols”. Literally. I guess it’s better than getting the actual swastika though. Nobody likes neo-nazis. He’s just a lol-nazi; scouring the internet for overly happy people and depressing them with those sad Sarah McLachlan SPCA animal commercials.

You say its a horrible symbol but thats really not the case. On a nazi flag yes, but the swastika itself before hitler stole it was a symbol of peace, prosperity, good luck and.. well… LOL's. :P

This IS really funny and cute… when you're NOT ignorant and realize that the Swastika is an OLD hindu religious symbol (symbolizing the curving arms of the Milky Way as the birth and death cycle of life).

Before Hitler stole and perverted it, it was used in this country as a symbol of “good fortune” and of “life, light, love, good luck.” (http://rexcurry.net/swastika-hakenkreuz.html)

One could make the case that is depends on which way the arms point (though has to be this way to be an “L”). Its said Hitler reversed the religious symbol (like an upside down cross), but others say he got it wrong (dumbass). Really, it just depends upon which SIDE you are looking at, being a two sided symbol (like a coin), one side symbolizes the energy of the universe spiraling outward, and from the other side the energy contracting inwards. One side symbolizing the act of creation and the other rebirth, but I forget which is which!

This tattoo is simply another case of RECLAIMING a symbol to its purpose… like the pink triangle symbolizing gays (Hitler again).

Also, it seems to me the conclusion above is wrong — this person would NOT be anti-LOL, but PRO LOL, as in a Nazi is pro Aryan (or for pure white people…which don't exist, but still).

So, here is to all the internet citizens who just can't take ANYTHING seriously!!!
