Has Terminator Salvation Been Given a New Ending?

Terminator Salvation EndingSo it looks like the ending of Terminator Salvation may have been scrapped, and completely changed.

The original ending was supposedly leaked to the internet. It was first thought to be a rumor, but is now confirmed to be the acutal ending. Now, that the ending to the movie is all over the net, Warner Bros. has decided to change it.

I’m actually happy about the change. Reading what the original ending was supposed to be, it would have been a  horrible end, and upsetting; at least for me. Since it’s not the real ending anymore, and no longer a spoiler, you can read what the end of the movie was, before they changed it, at the bottom of this post…

The third act of the film has been completely changed “because of the internet leak. The ending doesn’t resemble the previous one in any shape or form”.  And more so, the new ending has tested quite well; it’s gotten a much better reaction than the ‘big reveal’ in the script did. – Moviehole

So, if you want to know what the original ending was, before they decided to change it, here you go:

“Alright so the main character is a cyborg named Marcus. For some background, Marcus was a criminal who was executed in 2003. He donated his body to Project Angel which was involved with SkyNet. They take his body and make a terminator out of him so he’s a terminator skeleton but has living muscle/skin and a beating heart too. At the end of the movie John Connor is fighting a T800 model 101 and loses. He dies and the top resistance people come up with a plan to help the resistance keep fighting on. The resistance feels that it’s important to keep the image or idea that John Connor is still alive so the resistance keeps going. So they rip off Marcus’ skin and put John Connor’s on the skeleton so now Marcus is John Connor.” – Aint it Cool

Terminator Salvation hits theaters on May 21st! And I have to say it again, I’m glad they’re changing the ending. John Connor is the leader of the human resistance!

    Your confusing the timeline….John was ALREADY saved by the T3 T800 in this timeline because this movie takes place after T3…unless the movie takes place before T1 ala Star Wars Episode 1. Now I’m confusd lol

    u guys really don’t no anything about the terminator movies. the terminator that comes back in t3 doesn’t kill john connor until 2032. this movie is based on rite after the war begins in 2018. if any of u have read anything about this movie or watch the previews they tell u that the future has been changed, so what u no u need to forget. so the ending may still be the same or very similar.

    I also forgot this part its very important. if they had not stop judgement day in t2 then the future would have been the way it was supposed to be. but because they mess with the future they messed with everyone’s future as well. which means johns future was changed to. well I hope this helps.
