Fact of the Day: Solid Snake is Kyle Reese from The Terminator

Solid Snake is Kyle Reese
A still shot of actor Michael Biehn, who portrayed Kyle Reese in The Terminator in 1984, was used as a basis for Solid Snake on the cover art of Metal Gear. So, what does this mean? Solid Snake is Kyle Reese. Metal Gear was released in 1987. There you go, that's the first random fact of the day. Maybe I'll post one everyday...if I know one.

First Look: Superman in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

Superman
Last month we had a look at Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. We saw Batman fighting Sub-Zero in the first trailer, which you can watch HERE. Now, we get a look at the Man of Steel himself, Superman! I don't understand how Superman will ever lose...I'm not sure if I'll buy this game yet, I need more gameplay footage.

The only characters confirmed are Batman, Superman, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion, but there will be around 20 characters according to the FAQ at the official site. Again, there will be no fatalities, but, there will be blood. Get it...?

Soul Calibur Gets a Boob Job

Ivy's Boobs
Here we have Ivy, a character from the game franchise, Soul Calibur. She's the most jiggly female fighter you've ever seen. The picture on the left is how Ivy looks on the Japanese Soul Calibur IV website. The picture on the right is how Ivy looks on the American Soul Calibur IV website. My question...WHY? I remember when the first trailer came out for Soul Calibur 4, Ivy looked like the left picture, so why cover her up on the website? Do Americans really need to be protected from cartoon boobage? If so, it's a sad day to be an American. I'm sad. I wonder if she'll be covered up in the US version of the game...Oh well, at least we get to play with Darth Vader and Yoda.

The Angry Video Game Nerd Reviews Nintendo Accessories

You can never get enough AVGN videos. Remember back when he was just called "The Angry Nintendo Nerd"? I do...The Angry Video Game Nerd was one of my first YouTube subscriptions ever. Anyway, onto the video. I have a few NES accessories myself. I have two gray Zappers, two orange Zappers, two NES Advantages, a Power Glove and about probably like seven or eight of the normal controllers. I can't find the little sensors for the Power Glove though. I cannot play with the power. It's funny that he showed us that plastic accessory that just holds the NES controller. What does that remind us of? Hmmm...Oh yeah, the Wii Wheel, the Wii Zapper, and all those other stupid Wii accessories that are nothing more than a plastic shell. I actually do like the Wii Wheel though, even if it is a $10 piece of plastic.
