Apple Magic Mouse

Probably the best bluetooth mouse out there if you have an Intel Mac running 10.5.8 or later.

It might be a little overpriced but I think it is worth the extra 20$ compared to a bluetooth mouse from Logitech for $50 for three reasons:

1) If it breaks and was not clearly misused they will replace it in store.
2) Multi-touch features.
3) Four months of battery life.

I bought one for my first gen unibody Macbook today been using it all afternoon and it is the best experience I have had with an external wireless mouse since I got my Macbook nearly a year ago.

Edit: Reason #1 only applies if it is within the first year following the purchase.

Not as good as it could be. unfortunately they removed certain buttons from the might mouse which is what made that, and although the great idea, not worth it at this time.

they didnt remove anything... except the scroll wheel. which isnt needed because this is a touch sensitive mouse.

I saw a review on this mouse on tomshardware.com, the technology looks very appealing! I like some of the 'touch' features on my daughter's ASUS netbook, so having that on a mouse is a great idea, if it works well.

The sad thing is this mouse only works on Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later.

WRONG... the left and right buttons are still there... I would know considering I own one. As for the ability to click the scroll wheel... well.. that had the same effect as simply lifting my finger up.... so IDRC.

Check again, You don't have any buttons on the side of the mouse. these have been removed.

neither did the mighty mouse!!!!!

Edit: OH!!!! Sorry you mean the button on the lower left and right hand sides!!! yes, those are gone but they didnt do anything for me anyways....... so again IDC. I can still do the four things I use my mouse for.... Left CLICK, Right CLICK, Scroll, and move the cursor faster than I do with the touch pad, therefore I am happy.

I caps locked CLICK because before I actually got a first hand look at a Magic Mouse I thought it was going to be Touch-to-click... but in fact it is one big button like the Mighty Mouse was.

And those 3 buttons where each individually programable. which you no longer have. a big loss in a lot of peoples cases.

no argument there... aside from the fact that for me and many people I know those three buttons were of no use. Therefore, what I said stands... overall it is a nice mouse.
