First up; Zack and Miri Make a Porno. This movie was surrounded by controversy in a lot of places. They even had to take the word “porno” out of the title to put ads on TV and promote the film.

So this movie stars Elizabeth Banks and Seth Rogen as two best buds from school. They live in a dump, have a crappy car, and work low paying jobs. They’re electricity, heat, and water get shut off, and they come up with a plan to make money. Porn. Miri, Zack, and a few of their friends and hired stars get together to shoot a porno, all while love tenion sparks between Zack and Miri, who have been just friends for years.

All in all, it was a decent movie; it had it’s funny moments, it’s WTF moments, and it’s “romantic” moments. I say romantic, but I’m not sure if that’s the right word. My bottom line on this movie is RENT IT.

Up next is another good one; Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. This movie stars Kat Dennings and Michael Cera.

The movie is about two teens who aren’t too happy with life, the usual. They eventually meet each other while searching for the secret location of where their favorite band will be performing. Nick has gay friends, Norah has a drunk friend, Nick and Norah share some sexual tension, you know, pretty much like every romantic comedy out there; but there’s something about it; I’m not sure what it is, but I liked this movie. Maybe it was Kat Dennings…Who knows?

This movie is definitely worth seeing, but you probably wouldn’t watch it more than once, so I’m going with RENT IT.

I’m going with “rent it” for both of these movies because they’re good enough to watch, but probably not a movie that you’d watch over and over again when you’re bored.
