  I think it was in the first pokemon movie. Maybe the second. After that I got too old for Pokemon, and they started making like 200 new pokemon that I never learned. 151. Anything over 151 is lame.

  I know for sure that song was in at least one episode as well. I think it was episode 31(I know it was early on, because I only ever watched the first batch they had translated, the batch that ended at that paras/parasect episode.) if seribii episode guide + my vague recollection is correct.

  umm...I don't know how old your are, but I've got news for you. Pokemon was popular in the LATE 1990's, like not until about 1999. I know because I remember seeing kids running around with those stupid little Pokemon cards. The late 90's and early 2000's (when you probably grew up) was NOTHING like the 1990's. I WAS a kid in the 90's and my memories are about cartoons like Animaniacs, the Gargoyles, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, etc. Sorry dude, but you're not a 90's kid. Do you actually remember a time before the internet? No? I didn't think so. So you're not a real 90's kid. And Pokemon sucked. It was right down there with Barney.

  Of course I'm a 90's kid. I was born in the 80's, grew up in the 90's. I remember plenty of time before the internet.
  
  When I was a kid, it was all Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men Animated Series, Spider-Man Animated Series, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Animaniacs, Bonkers, Batman, the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon, and among many other things, Pokemon.
  
  Pokemon got big in the mid 90's, started in 1995.
