Vegetarian Zombies

Vegetarian Zombies
Vegetarian zombies may not eat you like a carnivorous zombie would, but come on, who wants to live in a world like that? If they don't feast on human flesh, we have no excuse for strapping some swords to our arms and going Bloodrayne on them. I'm sorry...I shouldn't have dared mention that game...or movie.

Webcomic of the Day: May 9th, 2008

Super Effective
Once again, the webcomic of the day is from the Super Effective comic over at VGcats. I believe there are only three of them, so, sadly, I only have one left to post. Too bad really, these Super Effective comics bring back the memories of my Pokemon Red playing days.

Webcomic of the Day: May 7th, 2008

Super Effective
If you never played any of the classic Pokemon games on gameboy, you probably won't understand these Super Effective comics.

Old Pokemon Yeller

Old Pokemon Yeller
I remember being jealous as a kid when other kids had Pokemon Yellow. I was stuck with Pokemon Red, and I didn't have Pikachu following me around. Dammit. Click to enlarge.

Secret Invasion Invades Comic Book Stores

Secret Invasion
Marvel's Secret Invasion #1 hit comic book stores today. I'm not sure if this was as hyped as I thought it was. I guess I kind of hyped it up for myself more than I should have, because it's the first major thing to happen since I got into comic books. I started reading right at the end of Civil War and the transition into Back in Black. I've since broadened my horizon to more than just The Amazing Spider-Man. Well, I picked up Secret Invasion #1 today, got home, read it, and enjoyed it. It's a pretty good story, I just hope the "goodness" keeps with it throughout the entire 8 issue run. #1 ended with some questions and cliffhangers, so I'm definitely awaiting #2. I've yet to read any of the tie-ins, but I picked a few of those up as well. So, if you're looking for something new to get into to, go pick up Secret Invasion #1, if it hasn't sold out yet.

If you don't know anything about Secret Invasion...I'll tell you. It's pretty simple actually. An alien species called Skrulls are shapeshifters, who are taking the forms of superheroes in the Marvel Universe and infiltrating their ranks. The story mostly focuses on The New Avengers and The Mighty Avengers, at least #1 did for the most part. The regular New Avengers and Mighty Avengers issues will tie into The Secret Invasion, as well as other titles.
