Star Wars Party

Every kid needs a Darth Daddy to throw them awesome Star Wars birthday parties. I’m counting 13 kids in this photo. 13 Padawan learners are still not enough for the power of the Dark Side. Their attempts to use the Force Push are obviously failing. I’m guessing they bought all those plastic lightsabers at the Darth Mall. Hahaha! Get it…?

May the 4th be with you. Star Wars DayIt’s May 4th, and that can only mean it’s the unofficial Star Wars Day! Why? Isn’t it obvious? Because “May the 4th” sounds like “May the force”, that’s why! There really doesn’t need to be another reason.

So in honor of Star Wars Day, here are some past Star Wars posts on Geekstir:

- Video: What R2D2 is really saying.

- Miniature Battle of Hoth

- Video: Chewbacca Trapped in a Nightstand

- Video: Star Wars retold by somebody who’s never seen it.

- Video: That’s What She Said

- Video: Star Wars According to a 3-Year-Old

May the 4th be with you!

AT-AT Walker AnatomyWell, it’s another week, and here we have another awesome t-shirt.

Redbubble seller and artist, rubyred, has shown us all that these Imperial AT-AT Walkers are actually real animals, and that the rebels should be ashamed for harming such fragile creatures. It’s not their faults the Empire has captured them, encased them in metal armor, forced them into labor, and strapped guns on their heads.

Pick up this shirt in many different colors and styles for $26. Pricey, but this a shirt any Star Wars geek must have.

Pink Storm Trooper at the G20 Summit This photo was taken in London, during the G20 Summit this week.

What better way to join in with the thousands of protesters throwing rocks and breaking windows, than to throw on a nice pink Stormtrooper helmet and suit? It’s very fashionable, eye-catching, and delivers a point. Well…it doesn’t really deliver a point, but who cares? Geeks always have a unique way of protesting.

LEGO Star CruiserIt’s a trap! Thomas Benedikt has created Admiral Ackbar’s star cruiser from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

He used over 30,000 LEGO blocks, and took 11 months to build it. Not only that; he took it to a “hoe nuva level”. The ship even has LED lights throughout, giving it a realistic look against a starry backdrop. You can read all the specific build details here.

Check out some awesome pictures of the ship lit up, and in closer detail below…

It doesn’t matter how many times I hear the Cantina Band’s song, I always love it. It’s a classic, it’s a beautiful song. Kudos to this kid for making it even more classy.

We’ve all seen videos of people making LEGO “things” before, but this is just crazy. Watch these LEGO people build themselves a LEGO Millennium Falcon.
