This thing isn’t just a big piece of useless plastic like most Wii accessories are. The wand holds both the Wiimote and nunchuk, and the pack has LED lights indicating which controllers are currently connected to the Wii, and how much battery power is left. Also, because the Wiimote is wireless, the wand is not connected to the pack, so you can use it to play all those “on rails”, arcade shooters for the Wii. Remember the last time somebody played a Wii on Live TV? When will they learn…? Playing with your Wii is fine, but only in the comfort of your own home. Maybe even a friend’s home.

You’re sitting at home, playing your guitar, trying to relax and learn a new song. Behold, the Darth Vader Wii Sensor Bar Holder! I know where my Wii sensor bar will be in a few days time. Comfortably placed inside the plastic lightsaber of this plastic Darth Vader accessory! It’s all so obvious now. Why didn’t I notice it when I was a kid? This whole time, I thought Mario was just an ordinary plumber, put in an extraordinary situation, and he became a hero. Little did I know, it was all an act. This hurts too much. Next I’ll find out that hedgehogs aren’t really blue.

This guy might have died…if the video were real. It’s obviously a viral marketing video for Pringles. You can see the first guy eat some greasy potato chips, then the second guy eat a Pringle. Needless to say, eating potato chips before swinging a Wiimote is dangerous business. To summarize, eating potato chips kills people. Viral marketing success.

Pretty tough actually. You know it’s a quality product when it’s 25 years old, and can still work, even after being frozen, submerged in alcohol, dropped from a two story building, and run over by car. By “quality”, I’m talking about the plastic cartridge, not the actual games. Seeing how the majority of NES games are abominations, and do not deserve the Nintendo “Seal of Quality” that they flaunt deceivingly on their stickers.

In 25 years, your Super Mario Galaxy disc will probably still work, if you take care of it; but will your Wii work? Never underestimate the power of the NES. I’m sure they’ll still work in another 25 years.

Who knew Super Mario Bros. could be so uplifting? What a beautiful world we live in. I think I’ll go sailing on the open sea, feed some ducks, play with my dog on the beach, and maybe even take a kid in a wheelchair to a baseball game and get the entire team to sign a ball for him. Super Mario World set to automatically play to the tune of Queen’s hit song, Don’t Stop Me Now. I wonder if it’s possible to have 4 people do this live, and in perfect sync with the song…

New Super Mario Bros. Wii hit shelves yesterday, and is definitely at the top of my list of games to buy. With all the Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Assassin’s Creed II, it’ll be nice to give the Wii some attention and play a less bloody game. I doubt the mayhem level will change much though. With the new 4 player mode, I’ll be picking people up and intentionally throwing them down holes and into enemies, just to make sure I collect the most coins.

Sure, Peach may be a man, but this is still awesome.

A gamer will do whatever it takes to get his game on. If that means going to Walmart, getting down on your knees, and playing the demo Nintendo DS, so be it. There is no shame when you’re talking about a man, and his need to play.

I almost feel bad this guy has to go to such extremes though. Just think of all the kids with dirty, grubby hands who have played that DS before. Wiping their snot and tear soaked hands all over it after their parents refuse to buy them one. It definitely can’t be good for the knees either.

Whoa, this is creepy. Without his signature mustache, Mario looks like a freshly delivered baby. I’m not sure I can ever play a Mario game ever again without seeing his naked cartoon body.

I’m not even sure what to say about this. What were they thinking? This commercial, in no way, makes me want to go out and buy The Legend of Zelda. At least this weird Japanese Legend of Zelda commercial is entertaining.

This is a logical solution to an illogical problem. Boo doesn’t have to worry about Mario or Luigi looking at his face, if he has no face look at it. Question is, why is Boo afraid of people looking at his face in the first place? He’s a damn ghost, he ain’t afraid of no ghosts plumbers. Sorry, I was thinking about the Ghostbusters song. The Nintendo Rubik’s Cube is the same as a regular Rubik’s cube, but instead of solid colors, there are classic Nintendo characters and logos. Green is Triforce, Blue is the Starfox logo, White is Kirby’s face, Yellow is a Pokeball, Orange is Samus’s logo, and Red is Mario’s hat.

Apparently, when you destroy an HDTV live on television, you’re more worried about some cheap plastic tennis racket attachment. This will definitely be motivation for all the old ladies who watch this channel to call up and order some of those for their kids. Not to mention, playing a tennis game on the Wii without those plastic racket things is like the lamest thing anybody could ever do. If you’re not rocking the plastic, you’re nothing.

I have a bad feeling about this. Nothing good can come out of playing a NES game, inside of an actual NES game. Watch for the rips in the Universe. This just isn’t natural.

It’s no secret that the ladies love handheld gaming. This guy must have been pulling in serious tail after everybody at his school saw this badass Game Boy advertisement.

Ever wonder what it would be like to befriend some of the most famous video game characters on Facebook? Wonder no more! Who would’ve guessed that Tails is totally in love and obsessed with Sonic? Now when the Princess is kidnapped again, and again, and again, you’ll know! I just hope somebody helps Diddy Kong out of those barrels. Poor guy might suffocate.

So the store manager was thinking to himself, “How do we get kids to want to buy more soda? I’ve got it! Build a Donkey Kong soda mountain!” Well, it was a brilliant idea, because now I want some crappy root beer. I also want for my NES to hook itself up for some Donkey Kong playage.

I don’t even know where to start. The cheap frozen TV dinner, the milk crate, the dirty towel, the VCR…Luigi’s Mansion. I think I had a better gaming setup than this when I was 4. At least the guy who owns this setup is loyal. The picture of Satoru Iwata on the wall lets us all know that he’s a Nintendo fanboy, and he’s not ashamed to admit it. Good for him. Or her…?

Ah yes, more Mario Kart video goodness. If you haven’t seem them yet, watch Super Mario Death Race and Real Life Mario Kart.

Of all the Mario hacks and mod videos I’ve ever seen, this one looks the hardest. I thought I was good at Mario, but after seeing this, I’m doubting my SNES skills.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m actually looking forward to this. Of course everybody loves the classic Super Mario Bros. This takes that and throws in new power-ups, multiplayer, new graphics, and an all new experience. Battling your way through the Mushroom Kingdom with your friends, fighting for coins and power-ups, Yoshi racing…Man, I want this.

It almost reminds me of LittleBigPlanet. You know, without the customization and level building. Imagine if Nintendo put in a level creator and some good online play.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii is currently set for release sometime in the 4th quarter of 2009. That means soon.

Has your Xbox 360 red ringed? No worries! Just pull out the good old Nintendo NES. Sure it may take some blowing into the cartridge, positioning it just perfect inside the system, and a couple pushes of the power button to get it to work just right, but at least it still works. Never take for granted the old gaming console. If your fancy high tech console breaks, you’ll always have a trusty gray box full of nostalgia.

You don’t control the characters movement, you just shoot, reload, pickup items, and use your knife. Perfect for the Wii and the Wiimote. Darkside Chronicles takes you through the stories of Resident Evil 2, probably the best Resident Evil game ever, and Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Check out another video below!

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles is set for release sometime in Winter 2009!

Decades after Link’s heroic quests, he’s stuck in a crappy cubicle, working a boring office job. It didn’t work out with Zelda, and his boss is an ass. At least he still has his legacy…and a Nintendo Wii.

The video is decent, but I’m posting it for it’s artistic value. Anybody who takes the time to make a sticky note Donkey Kong and Jumpman (Mario), is cool in my book.

Luigi has always been under appreciated. It’s so unfair. Without Luigi, they’d have to think up all new titles for Super Mario Bros. games. They even gave Mario an epic fireball special attack in Super Smash Bros Brawl, and stuck Luigi with some LCD trip dancing as a special attack. It’s ridiculous. Luigi deserves some respect dammit!

It’s no surprise that the dog’s name is Link. His outfit is complete with the green tunic, sword, and shield. I challenge anybody reading this, to find a cooler dog, and either send it in via email or post it in the comments.

Now somebody needs to go adopt a female dog, name it Zelda, and put a dress on it. I would, but I’ve already reserved my dog to be named Hobbit, and he will be a Pug.

I’d like to see a LEGO version of some of my favorite old games like Joust, The Legend of Zelda, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game. I haven’t seen LEGO Tetris yet, but I’m sure that one would be pretty easy.

So Nintendo took the classic Super Mario Bros. that everybody loves, and they made something new with it. Basically, this is Super Mario Bros., but you can play with 4 people, including yourself, all at one time. The graphics are updated as well. It’s pretty much the same as New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS, which was a great game.

I think this game could actually be pretty fun. Having 4 people run through the levels of Super Mario Bros., all at once, fighting over power-ups and coins, throwing each other around, battling for the top score. It’s almost like a side scrolling Super Smash Bros.

The game definitely looks like it has potential. Check out the trailer and see for yourself.

This is the latest trailer for Capcom’s Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, from E3 2009. This game is the followup to Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and takes us through the story of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica.

The graphics are updated and the game is “on rails”, but watching this trailer just gives me a nostalgia attack. Growing up during the “Playstation era”, Resident Evil, especially Resident Evil 2, is one of my favorite games of all time. Sure, it’s not a remake, like many fans want, but it’s enough…for now.

This is easily my favorite announcement from today’s Nintendo press conference at E3 2009. Not because it’s the best looking thing at E3, but because it’s the only thing from Nintendo that really got my attention.

Sure, it looks like Super Mario Galaxy 1. I’ve seen a lot of talk on the internet about how it’s just a recycled game. Well, I don’t think that’s true. There were 3 “Super Mario Bros.” games, there were 2 “Super Mario World” games. Why can’t there be 2 “Super Mario Galaxy” games? It’s exciting if you think about it. This is the first true, full sequel to a Mario game, on the same system, since the Nintendo NES with Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3. We all know Super Mario World 2 on the Super Nintendo wasn’t a true sequel.

What I’m really excited about? I’m sure you can guess it…Yoshi! Our favorite mountable little green dinosaur thing is back! I don’t know about you guys, but Yoshi has always secretly been my favorite thing in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is set for release sometime in 2010. By “sometime”, I mean anytime from January 1st, 2010 through December 31st, 2010. The wait is on!

Metroid Other M was announced at E3, during Nintendo’s press conference earlier today. It’s the trailer that ended the show, and was probably had the biggest crowd reaction. Even more than all the little DS games, the finger peripheral, and all the many Mario games.

This is the first trailer for Assassin’s Creed 2. Wow. Amazing. Hopefully we’ll actually get to see some gameplay footage, or at least some cut scene footage soon. There is no set release date or specific details yet, but the game is expected in the fourth quarter of this year. A surprise is that the game will be released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the Nintendo Wii. I’m curious to see how the game turns out on the Wii obviously.
