The first commercial for the iPad aired during the Oscars on Sunday Night. It looks pretty great. Now only if it could use flash to watch videos on the internet. I don’t want a YouTube App, I want to go to YouTube in the damn browser!

Why aren’t we making full body suits out of these things? We’d be invincible. At the very least, we could have these in all the gadgets and televisions that we buy for hundreds and thousands of dollars. Broken screens is broken hearts. Every time I see one of the videos of a Wiimote breaking a TV, I die a little inside. Also, newspaper of the future?

At least Pee-Wee found some use for Apple’s new iPad. I’ve been trying my hardest to keep the iPad out of my thoughts. It’s just so disappointing. All the rumors, all the waiting. For what? The iPod Touch Big? Come on Steve Jobs! People want a real tablet computer! A tablet that runs Mac OS X. A computer dammit, a computer! Well, maybe this iPad could be convenient to use while you’re laying in bed, and want to watch some YouTube videos and check your email. Oh what’s that?…no flash support or multiple programs at once? What the hell Apple? Hello HP Slate, you beautiful being.

Would you let this thing into your home? There is no doubt in my mind, that one day, after weeks, months, maybe years of putting your money into this bank, it’ll take it’s chance, grab your hand, tear it off, and while you flail around on the floor, screaming, in pain, this machine will send a signal to the collective intelligence of it’s kind, thus starting the takeover and Judgment Day.

Yesterday, during the Microsoft Press Conference at E3, Project Natal was unveiled. Basically, Project Natal is motion detection device. It can also has facial recognition, voice recognition, and many other things that are exciting. Do yourself a favor, and just watch the video above. That’s just a taste at what the possibilities are with Project Natal.

So, pretty cool, right? You can play video games, communicate easily with friends and family, enjoy your movies and other media; all without a remote or a controller. That alone is amazing. The facial recognition and voice recognition is also amazing. Just walking in front of your TV, your Xbox can log you in, and do the same with anybody else who’s face comes in the room.

It gets better. Peter Molyneux, the man responsible for Fable and Fable II, unveiled Milo. Milo is a digital being. He can recognize your face and your voice, via the device code named “Project Natal”. You can have conversations with him, you can interact with him, he can see your emotions, he himself can emote. This is just freaky future stuff. Freaky, yet so cool.

Just imagine walking up to your TV, and always having a virtual friend waiting to see and talk to you. It’s really amazing. I wish there were more details, but this stuff is kept behind closed doors at E3. Is Milo aware? Does he have memories? What would he say if you told him you were turning off the Xbox, in turn turning him off? Would he be scared, ask for mercy? Who knows? Skynet anyone?

I can imagine Fable III having something like this. Being able to communicate and interact with the characters in the cities, have relationships and conversations with computer players that remember who you are. This stuff could quite possibly be the future of gaming and entertainment. Gaming with your body. Virtual, AI beings…

Okay, okay; enough of me talking about it, just watch the video below and let your imagination take control.

Personally, I’m a PC guy. Only because I’m practical, and buy a computer that does what I need it to, for a good price. Don’t get me wrong, those MacBooks look great, and OS X looks great, but for the price of a Mac, you can get a PC with double or triple the RAM, a bigger hard drive, bigger screen, and an equal processor for the same price, or even cheaper. But hey, if you’re rich enough to buy one, go for it! I do own an iMac G3 though. Got it for $5, fully functional with the original keyboard and hockey puck mouse!

Could this be the new Mac Mini? It sure looks like it. A spy video in decent quality, I think it just might be real; also, that is one sexy piece of hardware.

The new Nintendo DSi will be hitting the United States on April 5th. It’s been out in Japan since November 2008.

The DSi has two .3 megapixel cameras, larger screens, better speakers, and an SD Card slot. All great things, but a big feature that’s gone; a Gameboy Advance cartridge slot. The original DS and DS Lite were able to play GBA games, the new DSi will not. When the DSi hits American shelves, it will also be coming in a new color; blue, which you can see in the picture at the top of the post.

The DSi will set you back $169.99. Seems a little pricey considering you cannot play GBA games now; even if there are cameras and larger screens…

You can reserve one starting tomorrow, at Gamestop.

Update: The DSi is now confirmed to be hitting Europe on April 3rd, 2 days earlier than the US release.
