Don't you just miss the days of Pokemon? I know it's still going and all, but back in the day, it was the thing to do. When there was only 150 Pokemon, when you had to call ahead to stores because everybody was sold out of booster packs, when linking up your Gameboy Color and trading and battling with your friends was the fun for the day. Anybody who was a kid back then knows what I'm talking about. Does anybody remember the starter deck that came with Machamp? I don't even know how many Pokemon there are now.
This is some pretty good fan art. Never have I thought of Blastoise as a rapid blue turtle, with huge guns coming out of it's shell. Whenever I think of Blastoise, I think of Squirtle...the cuddly little blue turtle who loves to say his own name. I think I still have some base set Blastoise cards packed away. Maybe they'll be worth something one day. Click image to enlarge.
I'm looking forward to the new Hellboy movie, but all this picture did was remind of Futurama, and brought back all my impatience for the next Futurama movie. Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs comes out on June 24th, 2008. The first movie, Bender's Big Score was pretty good, hopefully the next three movies will be too. Hellboy II: The Golden Army hits theaters on July 11th, 2008.
This is some damn fine artwork. It looks a lot like a T-Rex...just with a spiky turtle-like shell. He also looks like a midget with the chubby legs and small arms. No offense to anybody who has dwarfism out there. Anyway, check out essenmitosse for the whole story on this piece.
This is probably some of the coolest stuff I've seen lately. This group of people on Flickr have taken lots and lots of money...and drawn on it! I'm pretty sure it's illegal to write on money, let alone make full artworks out of it. Who cares? This is awesome. This is just a taste. Darth Vader, Daredevil, Batman, and King Leonidas from 300 are just four of the many different ones they've made. To see more, check out the entire gallery over at Flickr
